Air Ambulance

For those individuals requiring a higher level of medical care, we can arrange for a fully equipped ambulance aircraft, crewed by our experienced medical team to fly out and retrieve your loved one. Our medical team will travel to the hospital abroad, take a full handover from the hospital staff, and then continue ongoing care throughout the entire journey, until we are able to hand over their care to the medical staff within the UK receiving hospital.

Bespoke Transfers

We always endeavor to arrange the most cost-effective option for all our clients, which for those with a less severe medical diagnosis, is often to fly home on a commercial airline with one of our UK registered Paramedic escorts.

All our chaperones are enhanced DBS checked on a regular basis, and have the appropriate child and adult safeguarding qualifications.

Frequently Asked Questions

In a word…..everyone! Our clients range from those individuals that are seriously ill, requiring a full medical team that need to travel home in a private ambulance aircraft, to those that need minimal medical care, but require assistance due to limited mobility, and are therefore well enough to fly home on a commercial flight.

Yes, we provide a Children’s Flight Chaperone service to solo flyers aged 3 – 16yrs, and Flight Companions for those aged 17+yrs that are vulnerable and need assistance with air travel. All our Children’s Flight Chaperones and Flight Companions have undergone criminal checks, hold a DBS certificate, are certified in child-safeguarding, adult-safeguarding, and trained in Paediatric First Aid (Level 3) and Emergency First Aid.

Unfortunately, there is no universally valid answer to this frequently asked question. The costs of a medical repatriation depends on many criteria, such as the condition of the patient, whether the repatriation is required at short notice, the flight route, the number of accompanying persons, the need for ground transports, etc. Our staff will calculate the exact price of your medical repatriation at any time, completely free of charge and without obligation. You can reach us daily, around the clock, even at weekends and on public holidays.

Yes, unless otherwise advised by the UK Government.

We have a worldwide network of partners that enable us to create bespoke repatriation packages 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. A plan to repatriate your relative / friend will begin immediately once you have given us the go ahead.
We will do our very best to get your loved one home as safely, and as quickly as possible.

The majority of our staff are HCPC registered Paramedics, and will be carrying on board the aircraft a medical bag containing everything they should need to treat any illness that develops during the flight.

Airmedic International Ltd holds comprehensive liability insurance.

If you wish to have a travel home with your relative or friend, that’s no problem at all.

We always liaise with the hospital in which your loved one is currently being cared for, or with the family they are currently staying with, in order to ascertain exactly what level of medical care will be required during the journey.

We then create a bespoke medical team or assignee a carefully chosen individual clinician to the mission. This enables us to provide the highest level of care, at all times, during the journey.

We can happily arrange a door-to-door service if that is what you require. Please bring this to our attention when making the booking, so we can ensure this is included in the travel itinerary.

All personal information is securely uploaded onto a cloud-based application called Enigma; software that has been designed with security as it’s number one priority. Data Protection is always at the forefront of our minds.
